Mike`s Place in Marshall

While the service is a bit lackluster (sometimed they are too busy to be effective and sometime they don't seem to be interested), this place is moderately priced, has better food than Dark Horse and Schuler's, good daily food and drink specials, and a generally happy ambience.

Friendly atmosphere,not crowded, practicing social distancing!! Ben is an excellent mixologist. Thanks for the great time!!

Food and service good . Tried to use my Verizon 250/0 off and server said hes never heard of it. Verizon needs to make sure the merchants know their customers get a discount.

Mike's Place is basically a bar with food. Nothing extraordinary , but the food is good, freshly made and they will accomodate you if you're trying to stay within the limits of your diet! Server Missy is the best, remembering what you like to drink, suggesting ways to cut carbs and fat. We like to come here with a group in the evening or a smaller number for lunch.

Honestly not please with my overall experience. We’re from out of town, wanted to grab some food before heading home.. went in sat at a booth took a while to be greeted, once we finally were, our server (blonde lady) was very rude and being short. After she grabbed our drinks we were rushed to order (close to kitchen closing, totally understandable. The way she went about it was not) then after ringing our food in she never came back. Cook/bartender brought out our food and was apparently taking over for her but we were never informed that. We were not checked on after our food came out, had to go up to the bar to ask for things we needed. It wasn’t until our stuff was stacked at the end of the table that were spoken to again. Food was great but service was enough for us to never return or recommend.

My hometown watering hole for years. Not much changes here, and it doesn't need to. Good place, good people, always open late. 🍻

Clean booths, good atmosphere, fast service, good food and drinks. They have very good specials all week. My wife and I go here for lunches and dinners. Good location with parking in the front and back.

Pretty good place. Fairly fast service considering they were very busy. Free popcorn was a nice treat.

Good food and great service. If your looking for a nice little bar in Marshall Michigan here's a awesome spot. The building itself has a very full history. I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich with ham and a side of fries. Everything here was good. The sandwiches are ale cart so be sure to order fries if you want them. The price isn't horrible and it's a good atmosphere.

This is that bar like tv "Cheers" that you dream of being a regular at.

Best Burgers in town! If you like a little spice, the Jalapeno Popper Burger is always a solid choice.

A good burger served by friendly staff. My request for no bun was accomodated easily and well. My companion enjoyed a basket with fries and another side with their mushroom Swiss burger. With thanks is from a traveller passing through!

Like this place because they have karaoke and they are the only place that's open New year's Eve and Hudson Michigan

Service great the cook though was always on his phone. Didn't help out truly not a team player. Phone means more than customers. 😥

It was our first time there (recommended by a stranger in a store) Lovely building with lots of character and nice staff. We ordered the Philly Steak Sandwich and it was "love at first bite" It was juicy and a delicious flavor. We will definitely be back every time we visit the area.

Love this place as we happen upon it because the Dark House was too crowded. If people think this place is a hole in the wall then they really have been to a real hole in the wall bar. This place is a cozy bar/tavern with pool table and darts and good food. The pineapple bacon burger was awesome and the chicken Parmesan basket was good. The only complaint would be that burgers don't come with chips or anything. For that price it should be served with a side of chips. Service was awesome and the cook was friendly too.

worst place i’ve ever been, the server took stood there while we made up our mind and told us to be quick because the grill was closing and then she sat at the bar and stopped serving us??? so the bar tender (owner and cook i guess) took care of us and made excuses for her awful service, and then while we were talking about it some rude comments about me and friend not being 21 (which we are) and then went to the bar and talked about us. food 9/10, service and atmosphere -20/10. will not be back.

Only downside was our waitress. She was really off putting. The first time she came over she just stood there and stared at us until I ended up asking what soda they served. Anytime she came by after she just made us feel uncomfortable like we were an inconvenience to her. Like some of the comments below, she was an older blonde. Nice place though, food was solid and served quickly.
